Pretty cool to know that learning new languages may help develop your brain! Yep, challenges that may come in your lives and they maybe quite difficult. But, on the other hand, the more you've been challenged, your skills are also more enhanced. Like in learning a new language, your brain stores information that may help enhance your skills. Today, of course, if you want to learn a new language or any subject, you may learn it through online classes.

It's also like saying that what we put in our mouth affects our over-all health. Too much of anything can lead to dangerous consequences -- coffee, sugar, smoking, etc. There are better dental treatments and services that people can choose from, but the most basic is brushing and flossing our teeth after every meal. Brushing your teeth at least twice a day can save you from serious oral diseases that can lead to other health problems.

Hello,

While I was pregnant my brother Doede made some pregnancy pictures of me. I gave him permission to place one on his Flickpage under the condition that no one could copy it and use it for other purposes. It seems he made a mistake in his pagesetup, because I find myself in several blogs and articles now. It wouldn't be such a problem for me if I was wearing some more clothes, but this picture shows a bit too much skin for me to be presented all over the internet.
So I would like you to remove my picture or make it unrecognizable and send me a message when it is done.

Regards,
Willy

I enjoyed your article. Thank goodness for newer research debunking myths of the past concerning the brain. To me, the most exciting news beyond the fact that we can physically boost brain performance, is the fact that we can use specific foods and spices to balance brain chemicals. And, of course, research continues to remind us of the importance of exercise, and I enjoyed your observation about music.

[...] Music has a sublime power over human emotions and is a great benefit to our mental and physical selves. Music seems to be as important to human life, culture, and communication as is language and gesture. Some studies have shown that the motor regions of the brain, responsible for physical coordination and “fight or flight” action, become highly active in response to music. Hence, through the brain, we have the rhythm and the swaying of the body that leads to dance. [...]

Great article! Nutrition (and lack thereof it) is highly underestimated in how much it affects our bodies and mind. Dr. Mark Hyman touches upon this in his book Ultrametabolism – fascinating stuff!
