You saw a need to improve your brain functions but a quick search for a brain fitness program returned thousands of results. Which should you choose?

In this blog post, I would to help you by highlighting 5 criterias that you should look out for when choose a brain fitness program. Miss just one of this and you could potentially waste not just your money, but also your time! Trust me, I know. I’ve spent the past 3 years testing different brain fitness programs!

  1. Always verify that the program is scientifically proven. You wouldn’t believe the sorts of insane claims people can make without the proof to back them up. They do this because they know that people who are desperate enough wouldn’t be prudent enough to check… don’t let this be you!
  2. If the program cited a scientific study that verifies its results… be sure to check that the study refers specifically to that program! I don’t want to name names here… but a certain popular program rip off the results of several scientific studies to create their own! Naturally, most of the cost involved in producing these programs is in research. Thus by copying the results of other scientific studies, they could offer a much lower price. So beware: You should always be wary if the price of the program is too low (brain research, as you might imagine, is not cheap) because the people behind these programs just don’t have the expertise to continuously upgrade and update their programs!
  3. How do you know if a program is truly scientifically backed? Look for patents! If a brain training is backed by millions of dollars of research, you can rest assured that the program will be patented. If it is not, you can safely assumed they are copied.
  4. Look for testimonials. Most programs do have testimonials but beware. Read the testimonials carefully. Do they contain specific results? I’ve read numerous testimonials about brain fitness programs where the customers simply said he/she “felt an improvement“. Such unquantifiable results cannot be trusted because it could be due to a number of factors. People who’ve bought any product sometimes experience “cognitive dissonance” whereby they justify the purchase because they regret it. “Feeling an improvement” could just be a result of that!
  5. If the program is backed by science and there’s plenty of testimonials to confirm it, then you could rest assure to find a guarantee for it. Why would the company be afraid to offer a money-back guarantee if they know their program works right? Yet most companies are simply reluctant to back their own programs! That should say something about what they’re trying to sell you!

They only brain fitness program that I’ve come across that fulfill all these criteria is from Posit Science. Don’t believe me? Simply click through to read more about them.
